Remove dark colors/scrollbars from Cinnamon Adwaita theme
I use the Adwaita classic theme in cinnamon and for some reason some of the gnome applications use a dark variant of this theme such as the eye of gnome (image viewer) and video player.
The window theme, scrollbars etc all change to dark colors. If you want to remove this, it’s a really simple change. Just run this command:
1 |
sudo mv /usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-3.0/gtk-dark.css /usr/share/themes/Adwaita/gtk-3.0/gtk-dark.css.bak |
That’s it, just by moving gtk-dark.css to a backup location, those applications will now use the default lighter colors. Don’t forget to restart cinnamon, press alt-f2, type r and press enter.
